Aroma Expands Operations

In December 2023, Aroma Aquaculture Ltd acquired Nelson Ranger Fishing (NRF) mussel farms and operations, expanding their current open ocean activities at Squally Bay. This acquisition encompasses farms located in Menzies Bay, Double Bay, Pigeon Bay, Port Levy, and Scrubby Bay, significantly increasing their operational capacity to over 250 lines at Banks Peninsula.

Additionally, the purchase of NRF's work vessel, St George, further enhances their fleet, alongside their existing vessel Gladiator operating from Lyttleton.

Aroma Aquaculture is also in the process of constructing a new 24-meter vessel at Aimex in Nelson, tailored for the Banks Peninsula operation. Anticipated for completion and launch by late September, this new vessel will replace Gladiator at Banks, with the latter relocating to Port Underwood.
