New mussel powder study

“I was actually able to play with my three year old daughter without pain and stiffness ”

A new Australian study has shown Greenshell Mussel powder provides significant relief for arthritis sufferers.

The University of Queensland clinical study, commissioned by Christchurch Greenshell Mussel powder producer Aroma NZ, found participants who took the mussel powder during an eight-week trial experienced a 59 per cent relief from joint pain.

Aroma NZ director Ben Winters said the study investigated the therapeutic efficacy of their GlycOmega-Plus product in a group of 21 men and women aged between 41 and 87 diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knee.

Mr Winters said the study provided concrete evidence on the therapeutic benefits of Greenshell Mussel powder.

“This was the result we were looking for and confirms that our Greenshell Mussel product definitely contains significant anti-inflammatory properties,” he said.

“We are so encouraged by these new clinical results that we plan to carry out larger clinical trials on people.”

What three trialists said:

1. “I have found that by using the Greenshell Mussel capsules, the pain that I had lived with in my right knee was reduced significantly to a level where I could get better sleep and do more activities than when I commenced the trial.”

2. “Green lipped mussel extract certainly worked for me. In the eight weeks I was taking it I noticed a great improvement in my knees. At the end of eight weeks my knees were almost completely pain free and I would recommend green shell mussel to anyone with knee pain.”

3. “I definitely noticed a difference taking the Greenshell Mussel. I was actually able to play with my three year old daughter without pain and stiffness in my knees which was wonderful. But when I stopped taking the Greenshell mussel (at the completion of the trial) the pain and stiffness returned within a few weeks.
